How to get a computer.

Getting a refurbished computer is very easy but it depends on our computer stock and on our waiting list. Also, you must meet the following criteria outlined by Microsoft Registered Refurbisher:

  • To have a physical or psychiatric disability, or
  • To receive dissability benefits, or
  • To receive welfare.

If you meet the criteria before mentioned you will be asked to fill out an application form and to wait for your computer to be refurbished.

The computers that we offer tipically have the following specifications:

Desktops:

  • A minimum of a dual core processor.
  • 4Gb of RAM.
  • A 150-500Gb Hard disk.
  • A DVD ROM drive.
  • A 17-19 inch Flatscreen monitor.
  • Speakers if they are available.
  • Mouse and Keyboard.
  • All the cables you need for your system(VGA or DVI, Power cable, Audio cable, etc.).
  • Windows 7 Pro or Windows 10 Pro.
  • Office 2010 Home and Business (as an option).

Laptops:

  • A minimum of a dual core processor.
  • 4Gb of RAM.
  • A 150-500Gb Hard disk.
  • A DVD ROM drive.
  • A 14-17 screen.
  • All the cables (VGA or DVI, Power cable, Audio cable, etc.).
  • Windows 7 Pro or Windows 10 Pro.
  • Office 2010 Home and Business (as an option).

All our refurbished computers must go through a complete refurbishment process in which all the computers are wiped from all the personal information from the previous owner to meet the NIST Special Publication 800-88 Revision 1 standard, disassembled and cleaned, tested and given a memory upgrade. Finally the Windows Operating System and other applications are installed and tested to have a fully functional computer to be used for many more years.
